About Thrive Mental Health
Janette Stallings

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am trained to use medications and therapy in conjunction with each other. My goal is to help people experiencing a variety of life challenges to be their best. To accomplish that goal, I use a holistic approach to treat the whole person (mental, emotional, physical, professional and spiritual) listening to you, and discussing together with you, to choose the best options to reach your goals. If medications are needed, I can prescribe them.
I have worked in mental health nursing since 2010 with a variety of disorders. I completed my Master’s training through the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to private practice I worked in Alternative Medicine as well as conventional medicine. Having worked at the VA for 5 years, and being the wife of a retired USAF Msgt, I am familiar with the unique struggles of our military and their families.
I work with ages 8 and older. Whether you are experiencing a new or longstanding challenge, I believe that together, we can find a solution.

Benefits of Good Mental Health
According to the National Institue of Mental Health (NIMH) “Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act, make choices, and relate to others. Mental health is more than the absence of a mental illness—it’s essential to your overall health and quality of life. At Thrive Mental Health LLC, you’ll be equipped to deal with daily stresses in a way that can lead to positive changes in your personal life and for those around you.
What good mental health can do…
– Relief from debilitating depression, anxiety, mood swings and focus issues gets your life back on track.
– Sometimes just being able to talk about your problem helps you see a solution more clearly.
– Development of coping mechanisms and decision-making skills improves your problem-solving skills.
– Improve your communication and interpersonal skills as well as conflict resolution skills – both at home and work or school.
– Greater insight and self-awareness increases self-acceptance, self-confidence and self-esteem. Allowing you to change self-defeating behaviors and habits.
– Improved emotional intelligence and regulation enables you to better express and manage your emotions in a healthy assertive manner.
Are you and I a good fit?
Realizing that the therapeutic process is primarily a relational process, finding a PROVIDER that you feel comfortable with and trust is important. Ultimately, this is your decision at all points of treatment.
